Viritualbox how to resize VDI image

It's easy to resize VDI by using gparted
1.Create a new vdi #sda being primary IDE and keep old vid #sdb being secondary IDE
2.Boot from ISO image and open xterm
3.\> dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/sda
4.Resize through gpared tool and reboot.
